Refund Policy

Quarterlife, Inc. | Effective Date: September 2, 2026 | Last Updated: September 2, 2026

This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions to Quarterlife (the "Service") and should be read together with our Terms of Service. We designed our billing to be transparent and easy to control: you'll always know what you're being charged and when, and cancelling is as easy as subscribing.

1. Clear Pricing at Sign-Up

Before you subscribe, we disclose the plan you're choosing, the price, the billing frequency, and that your subscription will automatically renew until you cancel. As of the Effective Date, plans are billed at $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year, exclusive of applicable taxes. You authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, Inc., to charge your payment method on file for each billing period and every renewal at the then-current price.

2. 14-Day Grace Period

If you cancel your subscription within 14 days of the date you first subscribed to a Quarterlife plan (the "Grace Period"), we will automatically refund that initial Subscription Fee to your original payment method. Refunds under this section are typically processed within 5–7 business days, though your bank or card issuer may take longer to post the funds.

  • The Grace Period applies only to your first payment when you initially subscribe to a plan — it does not apply to renewal charges, or to a later resubscription following a prior cancellation.

  • If you upgrade or switch plans, the Grace Period does not restart; it runs only from your original subscription date.

  • To cancel within the Grace Period, use your account settings or email support@quarterlife.io. No reason is required.

3. Renewal Reminders

For annual subscriptions, we will send a reminder email to the address on your account at least 30 days before your renewal date, so you have time to decide whether to continue or cancel before you're charged again. For monthly subscriptions, you can see your next renewal date at any time in your account settings.

4. Cancelling Your Subscription

You can cancel at any time, directly in your account settings, in as few steps as it took to subscribe — we do not require you to call, email, or talk to a live agent to cancel. You can also cancel by emailing support@quarterlife.io if you prefer. When you cancel:

  • You keep access to paid features through the end of your current billing period.

  • Your subscription will not renew or be charged again after that period ends.

  • You'll receive an email confirming your cancellation.

5. After the Grace Period: No Refunds

ONCE THE 14-DAY GRACE PERIOD HAS ENDED, SUBSCRIPTION PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. THIS INCLUDES MONTHLY AND ANNUAL RENEWAL CHARGES AND PARTIAL BILLING PERIODS — WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR UNUSED TIME, FOR TIME YOU DID NOT USE THE SERVICE, OR IF YOU CANCEL PARTWAY THROUGH A BILLING PERIOD. BECAUSE YOU CAN CANCEL AT ANY TIME TO STOP FUTURE CHARGES, AND WE DO NOT CHARGE YOU FOR A NEW PERIOD AFTER YOU'VE CANCELLED, WE DO NOT PROVIDE PRORATED REFUNDS FOR THE REMAINDER OF AN ACTIVE PERIOD.

6. Billing Errors

If you believe you were charged incorrectly — for example, a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a charge that doesn't match the price you were shown — contact us at support@quarterlife.io within 30 days of the charge. We will investigate and, if we confirm an error on our part, correct it, which may include a refund or credit for that specific charge, regardless of whether the Grace Period has ended.

7. Legally Required Exceptions

Some states and countries give consumers refund or cancellation rights that cannot be waived by contract — for example, statutory cooling-off periods for certain online purchases, or specific notice-and-refund rules tied to auto-renewal subscriptions. Where applicable law grants you a right this Policy does not otherwise provide, that legal right controls for that claim, and nothing in this Policy limits any right you have under applicable law.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time, including the length of the Grace Period. If we make a material change, we will provide reasonable notice before the change applies to you. Changes will not retroactively shorten a Grace Period you are already in.
